SPREAD THE POETRY! #YAAAS

The event is free with exception of a minimum $5 purchase at Covernotes Coffee House, the host location.

We're also having a used book sale! Bring your unneeded books and a few dollars to buy other ones!

What's an OPEN MIC?

An open mic is a fun and simple event where poets get to come out and read their poetry, original or unoriginal, as simple as that! First time performing? Nervous? That's exactly why we encourage you to do it anyways. OPAF's mission statement is to inspire others to have the courage to speak out while in a safe judgement-free space. Be BRAVE!

What are the RULES of the open mic? You can read whatever you like as long as it's not prejudicial to any community.

Where do I SIGN UP?

There's a sign-up sheet at the open mic itself! So don't stress over submitting online.

Why a USED BOOK SALE FUNDRAISER?

OPAF is in its beginning stages so we'll be having a used book sale fundraiser to raise funds for a Poetry SLAM in December. Bring your unneeded books and bring a few dollars to buy new ones!
