"We are surrounded by stories and poetry, Sarah Kabamba just wants to share some of them with you. She was the winner of Room Magazine's 2017 Emerging Writer Award and was shortlisted for the 2017 CBC Poetry Prize. Her work has been published in Room Magazine, The New Quarterly, HA&L Magazine, Canthius, and In/Words Magazine and Press. She completed her undergrad in Law and Legal Studies, with a minor in English. She is of Congolese origins, and now lives in Ottawa, where she is completing her Masters degree. "

Michael Fraser
"Michael Fraser is published in numerous journals and anthologies. He’s in Best Canadian Poetry in English 2013 & 2018. He’s won various contests including: Freefall’s 2014 and 2015 Poetry Contests, the 2016 CBC Poetry Prize, and Exile’s 2018 Gwendolyn MacEwen Poetry Competition. His latest book is To Greet Yourself Arriving (Tightrope Books, 2016). "

Sankofa Ajuba Brother Sankofa was born in Manchester, Jamaica. He sees himself as an Afrikan Child who is firmly committed to learning about Afrika and her peoples wherever they reside in the world. Sankofa is a community worker, a poet, a teacher, a radio host and socio-economic business owner. Sankofa writes to provoke, incite and awaken unconscious minds to the reality of Afrikan peoples, the oppressed and dispossessed.
