In honour of the fourth annual Indie Author Day, the Niagara Falls Writer's Festival picks up where the library's 2018 Festival of Writing event left off. This year's event is spreading out to the Community Centre branch at MacBain Community Centre and the Stamford Centre at 3643 Portage Rd. as well.
At MacBain Community Centre at 11:30 a.m., Hamilton-based poet Darrell Epp, whose poetry has appeared in over 100 publications on six continents, leads a workshop on everything you need to know to write a poem and get published.
At 11:30 a.m., Jordan Fry, editor of Grey Borders Books, leads an intimate open readers workshop, with readings from local writers F. J. Doucett, Nancy Tabor, Charlie Schott, Sharon Frayne, Brent Thomas and Karen Gansel.
