Explore the streets of the Coach House Fall Season

  • 1608 Dundas Street West Toronto, ON, M6K 1T8 Canada (map)

The Baby G

From uptown to downtown to out-of-town, Coach House Books can find their home anywhere!

This season we have a metropolis of books for you to explore.

Andrew Kaufman follows up his previous Coach House novel, All My Friends Are Superheroes, by sightseeing in the dream-like city of Metaphoria in The Ticking Heart.

Dominique Fortier builds a fragile village out of Emily Dickinson’s life in the Rhonda Mullins–translated Paper Houses.

Gail Scott explores the turbulent streets of 1970s and 80s Montreal, full of politics, art, and sex, in a reissue of Heroine, featuring a new foreword by Eileen Myles.

Jonathan Ball shows that cities can have curators and be populated by poems in his new collection, The National Gallery.

K. B. Thors travels from fracked landscapes of the prairies to the steep verticality of New York in Vulgar Mechanics, a poetry collection concerned with hunger, anger, and the shifting fault-lines between play and pain.

Andrew Zawacki expands his poetic inquiry into the possibilities and dangers of a 'global pastoral,' exploring geographies alternately enhanced and flattened out like an eager tourist visiting a capital city in Unsun.

Vincent Pagé take a visit to the flower district with Pablo Neruda, modern romantics moving through a human landscape in This Is the Emergency Present.

This is a free event open to the public!

The Baby G is accessible except for a small lip at the front door, and it has gender-neutral washrooms.
