The goal of Indie Author Day is to show the new faces of Indie publishing to as broad a local audience is possible.

Objectives are:

  1. to feature as many local Indies as possible for their published works in a broad spectrum of genres
  2. to feature local Indie authors' roles/contributions within the community: Bookmarkit, Wild Nellies, creating businesses (i.e. their own publishing houses)
  3. to influence local thinking about introducing Indie authors into their reading, especially in book clubs
  4. to inspire the local audience to create their own Indie works and to describe start up mechanisms they could use (keynote for inspiration).
