We are proud to celebrate this year's Giller Light Bash hosted by Anne T. Donahue at the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library, in the heart of downtown Toronto.
The 18th annual Giller Light Bash promises to be the best party of the year! Rub shoulders with publishers and authors, watch the live broadcast of the Scotiabank Giller Prize, catch up with colleagues and friends, and bid on some amazing raffle prizes!
This year, our theme is The Good, The Bad, and The Literary! Come dressed as your favourite literary character protagonist or antagonist for a chance to win a Kobo and dance the night away with us!
With your ticket purchase, you will also receive one entry to the Guess the Giller contest! You could also win a signed set of the Giller Prize shortlisted books. Funds raised at the event support Frontier College, Canada's original literacy organization.
What first began as a house party by a group of friends 18 years ago has now grown to become a full-scaled event known today as the Giller Light Bash, thanks to the dedicated committee of volunteers from the publishing industry. Each year, over 1,800 people support literacy and celebrate Canadian literature at this party taking place the same night as the Giller Prize Gala.
This event is not to be missed! Not only does it support a great cause, but often guests from the formal awards ceremony drop by for a post-Gala cocktail, including authors Margaret Atwood; CBC host Shelagh Rogers; and singer Chantal Kreviazuk.
For group ticket sales of 6 or more, please contact Jennifer Chow, Events Manager at Frontier College at 416-923-3591 ext. 242 or jchow@frontiercollege.ca to receive $5 off the ticket price.
