Our long anticipated Anything Goes Slam is back, poetry fans! This time, we throw most of the rules out the window, which means you can bring costumes, props, instruments, backing tracks, juggling acts, whatever! Only rules still in place is the time limit (3 minutes 10 sec) and no nudity.

This slam counts towards the regular season rankings.

We are excited to have a special double co-feature at this fun show! First, you'll be treated to the improv troupe The Kweendom. They are the improv house team of Yas Kween, the comedy show produced by Nelu Handa that features women of color. Besides acting monthly in the show, the troupe has performed at Ladyfest Montreal 2018 and several shows in Toronto. The Kweendom are Alia Rasul Isabel Kanaan, Monica Garrido, Carolyne Das, Shohana Sharmin, Neha Kohli, Rosh Abdullah and Patricia Tab.

We'll also feature dancer Caldeira of Rebels de la Soul. Caldeira is a creator of film, performance, visual art and experience. A key fairy in founding Rebels de la Soul, an indisputable all womxn Hip Hop freestyle squad from Canada leaving deep footprints in the community. Recognized for her radiant, flowering energy, Caldeira’s work is rooted in production, management and artistically curating events, mentorship programs and creative projects rooted in the street dance community. Caldeira intends to continue using her art as a tool, key, and sword to reach appreciative audiences worldwide and empower her personal journey.
