After many requests, Mixed in the Six is hosting our first ever coffee house. Come together to share music, poetry, story, speeches, comedy - original or covers. We encourage pieces to be inspired or focused on mixed-ness, although not mandatory. No need to be a pro!

Helping out our city is important to us, which is why we have partnered with our friends at Fix the 6ix (https://fixthe6ix.ca/). We invite you to bring any unused or unwanted giftcards to donate to support those in need.

We are excited to be hosting the event at the The Freedom Factory in Queen West. The space has hosted some of the city's most unique events this year. It doubles as an art gallery and creative event space.

|Open Mic Guidelines|

• The Open Mic will prioritize mixed voices. We are inviting mixed identified folks to perform covers, material by other artists, or original work related to experiences as a mixed race person.

• Accompanying/supporting artists need not identify as mixed in order to accompany a mixed performer.

|Important| No material performed will include any homophobic, racist, sexist, ablist, transphobic etc. language. If you have questions about content and would like to chat about it, please email Michelle at michelle.alexandra.scott@gmail.com

• Please note that each act will be invited to perform ONE piece. If there is more space on the bill, more performance time will be offered to performers on a first come first serve basis.
