Campbell House
160 Queen Street West, Toronto
Now is the season of our groundhogs and lonely hearts and 9-bean stew and cuddling up to 7 seasons of TV in one sitting and skating away on the thin ice of a new day. We at the Common Readings collective wish your Toronto winter of thawing and freezing and thawing be made glorious by the sun of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel or Fort York, or York University, or even just North York. No matter whatsoever part of town you do your mitten shopping, you can easily find our temperate abode upon the subway line near Osgoode station, and need not fear all the clouds that lour'd upon the good Judge Campbell's house.
In sum: please come warm your winter bones on poetry and prose by candlelight and a dram of Toronto's finest working-class pilsner. This month, we bring to you three of the most exquisite Toronto talents in all the land:
KHASHAYAR MOHAMMADI, FAWN PARKER, JIM JOHNSTONE
Come for the Words and the Wine!
