Syrian Storytelling Night

Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto

252 Bloor Street West, Toronto

The Syria Solidarity Collective is excited to invite you to our first storytelling night in commemoration of the 8th anniversary of the Syrian Revolution. Storytelling is a powerful means which can help us create real, human connections. It helps us challenge stereotypes by celebrating our strengths and heritage.

The SSC is happy to invite Syrians to share their personal stories . From living under Assad's brutal regime before the revolution, to personal experiences during the revolution inside and outside of Syria. After the invited speakers share their stories, members of the audience will be invited to share their stories as well.

We invite you to hear the stories of Syrians in Toronto, and hope that these personal stories of the speakers at this event, will touch the hearts of all those who attend and encourage others in the audience to share their stories.

*Authentic Syrian refreshments will be provided.
