Join us to celebrate the launch of four new landmark collections of poetry: heft by Doyali Islam, cluster by Souvankham Thammavongsa, Cassidy McFadzean’s Drolleries and Magnetic Equator by Kaie Kellough. All four poets will read from their new work.

Doyali Islam’s poems have been published in Kenyon Review Online, The Fiddlehead, and The Best Canadian Poetry in English, and have won several national contests and prizes. Doyali serves as the poetry editor of Arc Poetry Magazine. In 2017, she was a guest on CBC Radio's The Sunday Edition and was a poetry finalist for the National Magazine Awards. She lives in Toronto, Ontario.

Kaie Kellough is a novelist, poet, and sound performer. He is the author of the novel Accordéon, which was a finalist for the Amazon.ca First Novel Award, two books of poetry, Lettricity and Maple Leaf Rag, and two albums, Vox: Versus and Creole Continuum. He has performed and published internationally. He lives in Montréal, Quebec.

Cassidy McFadzean was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. In 2015, she published Hacker Packer, which won two Saskatchewan Book Awards and was a finalist for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. Her poems have appeared in BOAAT, Prelude, The Fiddlehead, PRISM international, and Arc. Her work has been anthologized in The Best Canadian Poetry 2016, The New Wascana Anthology, and In Fine Form 2. She lives in Toronto.

Souvankham Thammavongsa is the author of Light (2013), winner of the Trillium Book Award for Poetry, Found (2007), and Small Arguments (2003), winner of the ReLit Award. Her writing has appeared in Harper's, Granta, Brick, Best American Non-Required Reading, and other places. She has been in residence at Yaddo and has performed her work at the Guggenheim Museum, New York. She was born in the Lao refugee camp in Nong Khai, Thailand, and was raised and educated in Toronto.
