Mississauga Arts Council presents VERSES OUT LOUD, Mississauga's first spoken word and poetry open mic series! Our inaugural edition, just in time for National Poetry Month, will consist of an open mic from 7:00-10:00pm at the Common Grounds Cafe in the West Edge Community Church in Port Credit. Open mic slots are 5 minutes, but may vary depending on turnout. All voices are welcome, and we provide a safe, equitable, and respectful space for everyone. Whether you're starting out or have been writing for years, come on out; we aim to showcase amazing local poetry and spoken word in the city of Mississauga. Feel free to share this event page, invite friends/family/interested poets, and help this series grow =)

*There is free street parking on Peter Street South and Port Street West. Coffee, tea and baked goods are available for purchase at the cafe, and all the proceeds go to charity. This is an equitable, safe, and respectful space.
