BIOS:

Ayub is young spoken word poet who was first introduced to poetry in early of 2015. He was able to use his writing and craft to make him the person he is today. He believes writing is his healing platform and loves the ability to speak his truth on paper. Poetry is his gateway to speak on his experiences and consciously help him grow in all areas of his life

DM Lafortune is an actor, advocate, educator, photographer, poet, singer-songwriter, videographer and visual artist. She is a smart, powerful woman who can command any stage as she draws on her oral skills as an appellate lawyer and advocate. She was born to a single Plains Cree-Métis mother and Jewish father in downtown Toronto in 1950s. Her paternal grandparents, holocaust survivor, refused to accept the relationship and her mother was evicted and on the street when DM was born. As an orphan she has lived Fanon's claim: "I must understand everything because I belong nowhere." She is working on her first book of poetry - Orphans and Other Little Things That Matter. She is passionate about understanding what makes people tick.
