ExPo Soc #8

  • 1138 Davenport Road Toronto, ON, M6G 2C6 Canada (map)

Salto Restaurant & Bar

Summer is reaching its zenith and that means it would be time for another ExPo Soc. This month's line up includes:

SUZANNA DEREWICZ: a writer and psychotherapist-in-training based in Toronto. She has been published in CV2, PRISM international, Arc Poetry Magazine, on Metatron's OMEGA blog, in Peach Mag, the Minola Review, and various other literary journals and magazines. Her first chapbook, Maggie Monologues – based on her play entitled "Getting There"– was published with words(on)pages press in October of 2016.

and

LEAH LIORA COHEN (aka Mayim Oceans): a multilingual writer, poet, artist, and philosopher of Canadian, American, and Israeli descent. Leah was born to roam, though she's currently Toronto-based, studying for a master’s in philosophy at York University. Her research areas include the ethics of both sexual consent and artificial intelligence. New to poetry, her work has appeared in Rose Quartz Magazine, and Bad Dog Review, and has completed her collection of poems "Found Poems and Found Objects" which blends the line between poetry and art, celebrating the bits and pieces of life we tend to throw away.

So dust off the stuff you'd like to strut and come on down (or up) for some fun among poets. Open Mic is open to those who'd like to share the stage with our features.

Hope to see you there.
