A Different Drummer Books

Rag Dolls and Rage is a new memoir by Sheila E. Tucker. This book charts Sheila’s turbulent, trauma filled childhood in England in the 1960s, and the process of confronting it all as an adult over the course of an astonishing year with the guidance and insight of a brilliant psychologist.

Sharing their revelatory conversations, Sheila examines shocking events and renders painful personal history in a riveting and moving portrait of her life.

“The path to healing and reclaiming one’s agency can be a long one, yet Sheila shows that it is possible. This book is powerful.” –Alma Arguello, Executive Director, SAVIS of Halton

“Strong, autobiographical storytelling is rare, and Rag Dolls and Rage is a poignant and passionate example of telling a life story that you can’t put down.” –Don Graves

Sheila is donating profits to SAVIS of Halton. She says “An organization like this is close to my heart. I wish a similar one was close by when I needed help. To give meaning to my earlier life, I want to assist by fundraising via sales of Rag Dolls and Rage in order that SAVIS can continue their important work.
