Ruth Clarke is the author of five non-fiction books. Her short stories have appeared in anthologies and she has had articles published in daily and weekly newspapers and magazines. A veteran of the Canadian writing and publishing industry, she has worked for the Writers’ Union of Canada and the Canada Council, co-founded Cannon Book Distribution Ltd., and founded a writers’ colony. Then she started to write for a living. What Goes Around is her debut novel.

Originally from South Africa, Lisa de Nikolits is an award-winning author whose work has appeared on recommended reading lists for both Open Book Toronto and the 49th Shelf, as well as being chosen as a Chatelaine Editor’s Pick and a Canadian Living Magazine Must Read. Her published novels include: The Hungry Mirror; West of Wawa; A Glittering Chaos; The Witchdoctor’s Bones; Between The Cracks She Fell; The Nearly Girl; No Fury Like That (which will be published in Italian, under the title Una furia dell'altro mondo, in 2019); and Rotten Peaches. Lisa lives and writes in Toronto and is a member of the Sisters in Crime, Toronto Chapter, Sisters in Crime, Mesdames of Mayhem, The International Thriller Writers.

Sky Curtis travelled extensively around Europe after graduating from university and then lived in rural Nova Scotia where she had various poems published in established literary journals and her first play produced by CBC Halifax. After briefly living in England, she then moved to Toronto with her husband and supported her young family by ghost writing high school textbooks, designing educational software, writing magazine articles, teaching, script writing, and creating a syndicated children’s column. Sky now divides her time between living in downtown Toronto, backwoods Nova Scotia and Northern Ontario. She has authored over a dozen books and is passionate about social justice issues and the environment. The first and second novel in the Robin MacFarland Mystery Series, Flush and Plots, were published by Inanna Publications in 2017 and 2018.

Accessibility: Queen Books' front entrance is accessible but unfortunately does not have a button to open the door. Staff are always happy and available to assist folks with the door.
