Wise Bar

We are back for the first Pen Cap Chew of the year! Post-holidays Winter is a time of reflection, existential anguish and damp socks. Deflated lawn Santas peek out here and there through the dirty piles of slush, wondering, as we do, when the sun will choose to return. In the meantime, come on out to Wise Bar and share your short fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, or we can just sit in a circle and compare our lingering frostbite. Whatever you want to read, we’ll listen.

There's no pressure to read, all pals and strangers are invited to listen, appreciate, clap and drink.

For those interested in reading, we suggest arriving around 8 pm to sign up. Readings begin around 8:45.

Wise Bar on Bloor is accessible at street level and features accessible washrooms. It's handily located between Ossington and Dufferin subway stations. Alternatively, there are bike locking stations nearby.
