The Kitchen at The Vanguard Oakville

Hello everyone: April is POETRY month. Let's celebrate at the next Poetry&Prose event.

For a change, INSTEAD of reading your own poetry, think about reading a short poem or excerpt by a favourite past or present poet. Max. 14 lines. Then tell us a bit about the poet.

OR

You could choose to read a poet's work (max 14 lines) and then tell us HOW it moves you, WHY you chose it, etc.

In other words - let's discuss and listen other poets' work.

If you really don't want to do this, feel free to bring one or two of your own instead.

Maximum 3 or 4 minutes per person.

There will be one 10-minute featurette, and she will be reading her OWN work.

Where: The Vanguard Kitchen cafe, 350 Lakeshore Rd East, downtown Oakville (south-west corner of Lakeshore and Allan).

When: Tuesday, April 9th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Plenty of parking on the streets or else on First Street (first block east of Allan)

This is a NEW cafe - please help support the owner by buying something to eat or drink. They have soup, pasta, cookies, etc., as well as coffees and teas. As usual, the event itself is free.
